Texas State Senior Games
| The 2009 Texas State Senior Games Championships were held in Houston, Texas, October 18 -November 1, 2009. Over 1050 athletes participated in the games. Results are posted under the Results tab. The 2010 Texas State Senior Games Championships will be in Houston October 22, 2010 through October 31, 2010. Schedules and sports venue locations are posted. See www.texasstategames.com. The 2010 Texas State Games will feature all 18 Summer National Sports plus a number of other sports and events. These include Pickle Ball, Billiards, Fencing, Soccer, Basketball Skills, Washers, Spelling Bee, and Table Games (Scrabble, Texas Hold 'Em, etc.) 2010 is the qualifying year for the 2011 Summer National Senior Games in Houston. The 2011 Texas State Senior Games Championships will be hosted by the Brazos Valley Senior Games organization in Bryan and College Station. The games will be held in June and will be an excellent warm-up for the 2011 Summer National Senior Games to be held later in the month. More information on the 2011 Texas State Senior Games will be published in late 2010. |

The Games Don't Run without Volunteers! Volunteer to help now!
Anyone who interested in volunteering to be a part of the 2010 Texas State
Senior Games (TSSG) is welcome to join us! The 2010 TSSG is a qualifying game
for the 2011 National Summer Senior Games that will also be held in Houston,
Texas in June 2011.
Volunteers will all receive a 2010 TSSG souvenir t-shirt as well as snacks and
drinks at most events. Some events include lunch.
The TSSG consists of over 20 different competitive and recreational sports and
events. Join over 400 volunteers who help to make these games such a huge
success. A listing of the different volunteer opportunities is available by clicking
on the link below. Volunteer responsibilities may vary according to the sport and
event but generally the volunteer responsibilities can include the following:
*Participants check-in
*Hospitality set-up
*Score keeping and/or timing
*Event set-up and Clean up
